This is also unreleased material from a recording session with the fine New York-based bass player James Ilgenfritz and reedist Bryan Pardo (leader of Balkano). No rehearsals, just getting together and playing in a studio for an afternoon. It's all pretty free, and there are some cool moments throughout. Some of these are actual tunes that we read, but their names weren't written down, so they have generic titles unless/until I can track them down.
ITQ stands for the In Transition Quartet, a group of guys I played with in Chicago, working through originals and standards that aren't so standard. We had a steady Monday night gig for years, and finally decided to record a few tunes in 2006. You can download the whole record for free under a Creative Commons license.
